About the Title
The title of the web site comes from the number assigned to the Rolling Stones record Satisfaction back at KHJ. In those days (the 1960s) we would hit the intercom switch and tell the engineer which song (actual little round vinyl things) we wanted him to cue up next. I called for 440 so many times (we never stopped playing it from the day it was released in 1965) it is indelibly burned into my memory. The least I can do is burn it into yours.
