Anna works for Clear Channel Advantage, located in the same facility as KOA and Clear Channel Colorado. We work in the same building, but no, we don't share a car. She goes in too early! Anna is the assistant to Don Howe, who is the president of Clear Channel Advantage.
I grew up around radio in Pittsburgh. My father, John Garry, who is now retired and tending to his garden, was teamed with Larry O'Brien in the morning for many years. They worked for WTAE, WHTX, WMXP and again with WTAE.
There was a time once circa 1994 when I filled in on the morning show on WMXP for a week, while he was still doing mornings at WTAE. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazzette did an article on the father and son going head to head in morning drive. They quoted me saying, "Hey Dad, you can kiss your 25-54s goodbye." He was quoted as saying, "It's a shame he can't get honest work."
