- Art Nelson
KPRO [Riverside CA] 2004-2014
Now: Art says (9/22), "I worked with some wonderful talent at AM-900: KGRB West Covina; a 500-watt Big Band station that covered the Los Angeles area fairly well. The late, great JOHNNY CARSON used to comment about KGRB, on occasion, while doing his monologue, on The Tonight Show. I worked with The World Famous Tom Murphy who was a star at KISN-Portland; KRLA-Pasadena, California, among others. Also, at KGRB, I had the privilege of working with veteran disc jockeys: Lyman Jay, (Jaroch); and Bob Stone. Eventually, I worked for Mr. Jaroch at Northeastern California's AM-570: KKFJ-Alturas. Currently, I am semi-retired, and I am working part-time as a substitute teacher in the Beaumont Unified School District in Southern California."
