the all-time radio dream teams in Joliet Illinois in the mid-1980's. WJOL was a
full-service station (news, talk, sports all the way to obituaries and missing pets).
It had a tremendous reputation and was honored several times as station of the year
by the N.A.B. What a line-up: Bill Drilling (mornings), Frank O'Leary (mid-days),
Dave Tallmann and Don Beno. (I did afternoons.) Under the direction of G-M Bill
Hansen, it a giant. It was a pleasure working with you guys. I look forward to
hearing from old co-workers. E-mail me anytime."

Now: Jim says (5/06) "After retiring from one of
America's premier Contemporary Christian stations, I served as a consultant to both
Christian and secular stations world-wide. Since 2004, I have served as a diplomat with the
U.S. State Dept. in Monterrey Mexico. I had a great ride in radio, and loved every minute of
it. I grew up in NY during the legendary days of WABC, and the nascent days of the AOR-FM
movement on WOR-FM and WNEW-FM. Boy, that was great radio!! Thanks, Dan Ingram, Scott Muni,
Murray the K and of course, "Cousin Bruce" Morrow! Without knowing it, you gave this kid from
Long Island a real example of what fun radio should be to the listener. Some people say, 'It's
not a hit 'till radio plays it' -- but I say, 'It's not radio 'till somebody listens, and is
touched!'"
